Day 1: Delhi to Shimla
Distance between Delhi to
Shimla is around 340 km and taxi takes around 7 hours 30 minutes to cover the
distance. Evening time check-in at hotel, dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 2: Shimla sightseeing
After breakfast sightseeing
begins which covers all important places of interest in Shimla.
The Mall:
One cannot miss The Mall in Shimla. It is not only a shopping center but also a
well maintained level strip of about 500 meters where people spend their leisure
hours walking to and fro, which is a meeting ground and also a catwalk
displaying the latest in fashion. The coffee house, the restaurants, and ancient
building on the Ridge are the popular joints where people meet, sit and
discuss. It also houses the Gaiety Theatre that had its first dramatic
performance on 30th May 1887and still is the main platform for all
performing arts. The Ridge is the happy ground here which stands witness to
‘Karva Chauth’ and ‘New Year Eve’ the spontaneous celebrations- the former for
grace and beauty, the later for mirth and merriment.
Indian Institute of Advanced Study: This magnificent building built in the Elizabethan style
of English Renaissance was completed in 1888. It used to be the adobe of
Viceroys and Presidents of India till Dr. S. Radhakrishnan in 1965 handed it
over to establish the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies for conduction
higher research. The open lawn in the south and north of the buildings with
blooming seasonal flowers add to the regality of the building. The place is
open to the public on a small entry fee.
Himachal Pradesh State Museum: The heritage of Himachal Pradesh is stored in a beautiful building called ‘Inverarm’ built-in hill architectural style on top
of the hillock next to one which has the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies.
Originals of hill miniature paintings, the style that developed in the 17th
century in these hills is on display here. The stone and metal sculptures of
the State, Chamba rumaal (handkerchief) with embroidery work, know as painting with a needle,
exquisite woodwork and masks, the doll corner, jewelry, weapons and
contemporary art is other attractions of the Museum.
Jakhoo Hill:
The top of the hill is 2km away from the Ridge. Pranks of monkeys and panorama
of Shimla town are added attractions besides the old temple of Lord Hanuman
recently renovated. This place is also known for the Dussehra Day celebration.

Day 3: Shimla to Manali

hotel and journey for Manali start. Distance between Shimla to Manali is
around 250 km and it takes around 8 to 9 hours to complete the journey in

Day 4: Manali to Solang
Valley

breakfast third day of Manali honeymoon package covers the Gulaba and Solang
Valley. Gulaba is the main attraction of Manali during the winter season
when Rohtang Pass is closed due to
snowfall and Solang valley is the Adventure Hub of Manali. In Solang Valley,

bike, and ropeway and zip line. Skiing and snow scooter are available in winters
only as these are snow-related activities.

returning from Solang Valley you can also see Nehru Kund. Nehru Kund is a
natural spring of cold water named after Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, who used to

spring is Bhrigu Lake which is situated high up in the mountains.

Hadimba Temple:
Hadimba Temple is only 1.5 km away from Mall Road Manali. This temple was built
in 1553 in honour of Goddess Hadimba, the wife of Pandav Bhima. It is
four-tiered pagoda style structure admits the greenery and tall trees of
Manali.
Club House: Club
House is around 1.5 km away from Mall Road. Club House is famous for its indoor
activities like badminton, roller skating rink,
an auditorium, billiards rooms, a library, a bar, and a restaurant.
Club House is run by HPTDC and there is a nominal entry fee for Club House and
all activities are on a chargeable basis.
Vashisht Hot
Springs and Temples: Vashisht village
is around 3 km from Mall Road Manali and famous for its hot springs. Here
temples of Lord Rama, Lord Shiva, and Sage Vashisht exist.
Tibetan Monastery: The Gadhan Thekchokling Gompa was built in 1960. These monasteries are
very near to Mall Road Manali. The monasteries show the Buddhist culture which
exists in the valley.
Mall Road:
Mall Road is the center point of Manali. It is full of shopping complexes. You
can find all of your interest items here.
Nature Park Manali: Nature Park Manali is also commonly
known as Van Vihar Manali. These parks are full of tall pine
trees. There are three parks near Manali, first, one starts from
private Volvo bus stand and ends near Mall Road Manali. This park
does not contain much for entertainment, but still, there are few seesaws and
little pond for paddle boating. It is the best option to spend a peaceful
evening. Second Park is behind the Hadimba Devi Temple. After taking
the blessing from Hadimba Devi one can visit this park.
Day 6: Manali to Delhi
After breakfast, check out
from the hotel and journey towards Delhi. Distance between Manali to Delhi is
around 540 km and in normal traffic conditions, it takes around 14 hours to
